The New England College Journal of Applied Educational Research (ºÚÁ϶ÌÊÓƵJAER) is an open access journal, which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or their institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to full texts of the articles, or use them for any further lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access. The journal’s ISSN is 2836-8339m and it is listed in the Directory of Open Access Journals.

About ºÚÁ϶ÌÊÓƵJAER

Aims and Scope

ºÚÁ϶ÌÊÓƵ Journal of Applied Educational Research (ºÚÁ϶ÌÊÓƵJAER) is an open access journal that aims to give authors a platform to publish their ideas, work, and research for the benefit of educators and their students, pre-K through institutions of higher education. The purpose of this journal is to help educators advance the cause of making education equitable for all students.

All aspects of education will be covered through the projects and research of our authors. Novel techniques for research, teaching and learning processes, and student life are encouraged so that educators have a platform for creating and assessing ways to make our educational systems more equitable.

Contributions regarding student and teacher satisfaction, preferences, quality of life, and their role in optimizing the educational process will be welcomed. The journal is characterized by the reporting of research and applied theories to the lived experiences of educators and their students.

The contents of this open access journal may be freely used for any legal, non-commercial purpose. Content should be appropriately cited and credit given to the authors of any ideas used from any article.

Instructions for Authors

Authors should consider a number of ideas when publishing in the ºÚÁ϶ÌÊÓƵJAER.

Peer-Review Process

New England College is committed to high-quality standards and thus uses a peer-review process. Once you submit your paper, the Editor reviews the manuscript for suitability for the journal per the ºÚÁ϶ÌÊÓƵJAER guidelines. If the paper does not meet eligibility requirements, the editor will work with the author to meet the journal requirements. If the editor deems the manuscript suitable for the journal, it is submitted for a double-masked review process. Reviewers share their manuscript feedback and recommendations for publication. Editor decisions include rejection, revision and review, acceptance with minor edits, and acceptance, and the editor shares the decision with the author.

If the decision is accepted with minor edits, the editor oversees the completion of those revisions. If the decision is revision and review, the revised manuscript is shared with the original peer reviewers for their review, feedback, and evaluation. The editor may decide to publish the piece or request further revisions. If the manuscript is rejected, the editor shares feedback and offers the author the opportunity to rewrite the piece and submit it for a future issue of the journal.

A desk review by the editor takes roughly two weeks to complete. If the manuscript is sent out for peer review, the process takes approximately four–six weeks.
