New England College (϶Ƶ) has unveiled ϶Ƶ-TV, a brand-new student-run television studio providing hands-on broadcasting experience and a dynamic platform for student storytelling. With live programming, original content production, and immersive learning opportunities, ϶Ƶ-TV is set to become a launching pad for future careers in television, media, and digital communications.

“With ϶Ƶ-TV, students are not only building technical and storytelling skills, they’re also learning the core principles of journalism: accuracy, fairness, and integrity. By understanding news values and committing to unbiased reporting, they’re preparing to become trustworthy voices in a rapidly evolving media landscape,” said Colleen McElveen, Assistant Professor of Communications at ϶Ƶ, who oversees the program. “This is an exciting time for ϶Ƶ and for students who want to make their mark in broadcasting.”

϶Ƶ-TV gives students the chance to take on every role in a television production, from on-air talent to behind-the-scenes technical work. The station will produce live broadcasts, news segments, interviews, sports coverage, and entertainment programming. Live shows air Thursdays at 2:30 p.m. on (@NewEnglandCollege϶ƵTV), with additional content available on (@nec.tv).

’s Communication Studies program has long emphasized experiential learning, and ϶Ƶ-TV takes this commitment to the next level. Students will work with state-of-the-art equipment, develop professional production techniques, and build portfolios that set them apart in the competitive media industry.

The station’s inaugural broadcasts featured student-led news reports, campus event coverage, and behind-the-scenes tours of the new facility. The enthusiasm from students and faculty has been overwhelming, and ϶Ƶ-TV is already drawing attention as a model for hands-on learning in higher education.

“This is an incredible opportunity for our students to gain real-world experience in broadcasting while creating compelling content that informs and engages,” said Dr. Wayne F. Lesperance, Jr., President of New England College. “϶Ƶ-TV is more than just a station—it’s a creative hub where students can develop their skills and shape the future of media.”

With the launch of ϶Ƶ-TV, ϶Ƶ continues to expand its experiential learning opportunities, preparing students for successful careers in media, journalism, digital content creation, and beyond.
